Welcome to the Pulse of Asia 2024 Meeting

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Pulse of Asia 2024 meeting, to be held on November 26th at the Parkroyal Darling Harbour, Sydney. This year, we are proud to present our annual meeting in conjunction with the annual meeting of Hypertension Australia, embracing a hybrid format to ensure wide participation during these challenging times.

Our theme for this year, “Emerging Technologies in Clinical Applications of Arterial Haemodynamics Research,” underscores the transformative impact of new technologies in the field of cardiovascular health. The symposium will explore into the application of arterial pulse and haemodynamics analysis, with a special focus on cutting-edge technologies such as wearable devices and artificial intelligence.

The program will feature a dedicated one-day symposium on November 26th, followed by a Joint Session with Hypertension Australia on November 27th. Key sessions include:

SESSION 1: Current Challenges of Emerging Technologies in Cardiovascular Research

SESSION 2: Clinical Perspectives of AI Cardiovascular Applications
The Michael O’Rourke Lecture: Honoring the indelible contributions of our esteemed colleague and friend, Michael O’Rourke, whose pioneering work has been an inspiration for the Pulse of Asia community.

SESSION 3: Clinical Perspectives in Application of Wearable Devices

SESSION 4: Other Emerging Technologies and Novel Haemodynamic Approaches

Joint Session with Hypertension Australia: "Arteries and Blood Pressure: The Role of Large Arteries and Microvasculature in Hypertension"

We are excited to explore these topics and their practical implications for clinical practice and research. This meeting promises to be an enriching experience, fostering collaboration and innovation in the cardiovascular field. We look forward to your participation and to advancing our collective knowledge and practice in arterial haemodynamics research.
